Paying for parking made easier in Rutland
By Grace Kennington 27th Aug 2026
Rutland Council has announced they have rolled out new initiative to make paying for parking easier in Rutland.
The authority has joined the National Parking Platform (NPP), a government-backed initiative supported by the Department for Transport, meaning anyone wanting to pay for parking can do so through the app of their choice.
The new parking system means drivers can use RingGo, PayByPhone and JustPark, as well as other parking apps used across the country.
Importantly, the parking tariffs will stay the same, no matter which app is used, although some apps have their own small convenience fee depending on which app is used.
PayPoint in local shops will no longer be available but Rutland Council are keeping this under review.
