The Rutland Police Commissioner latest grant scheme offers up to £400,000.
Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Police and Crime Commissioner, Rupert Matthews has announced phase three of his grant scheme.
Offering up to £400,000 of funding, the start date for proposals is 4 December 2023, with the closing date for applications on 8 January 2024.
There is £400,000 available for the 2023/2024 financial year and anybody may apply for up to £10,000 of funding for a twelve-month project. This maximum exists to support as many projects and initiatives as possible.
Funding is for community projects that help reduce the risk of crime and abuse, and increase public safety.
Mr Matthews (Con) said: "I am keen to hear from organisations that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those residing in Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland. Those who can apply include community based groups, grassroots organisations, registered charities, parish councils and schools.
"While local authorities and police officers are unfortunately not eligible to apply, as this funding is targeted at community organisations, they are of course welcome to support community groups in their projects.
"The funding be used for projects/initiatives that meet any of the objectives of the Police and Crime Plan, and applicants, when deciding whether to apply, are asked to take this into consideration. Funding can also be used for new initiatives/provision, to expand existing provision or as replacement funding."
