Police investigate following Rutland ATM theft

An investigation is ongoing following the theft of an ATM at a petrol station in Casterton Road, Tickencote.

Police were called at 2.17am on Monday 2 October following a report that a telehandler had been used to steal an ATM which was on an outside wall of the premises. The ATM was placed on the back of a vehicle which then left the scene.

No injuries have been reported following the incident. Arrangements are being made for the wall to be structurally assessed for safety reasons.

An investigation into the incident is in its early stages and full enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances of the report.
