A pop up art exhibition is opening in Oakham.

Rutland Pop up Art Exhibition, a new initiative hosted by a local artist, Juliette Brasher, is opening in Oakham's Church Street today, Friday 1 September.

The former home of All Saints hair dressing on Church Street has been transformed this September into a pop up art gallery, displaying work by local artists, with many works available to buy.

A splendid variety of art is on display and for sale in the shop, with mediums including oil, acrylic and pastel painting, sterling silver and resin jewellery, street art, sticker art and clothing, textiles, pastel, mixed media and more.

A range of works will be on display and available to buy. Image credit: Juliette Brasher.

Local, amateur, part-time, professional, 'incognito', and internationally successful artists have their work on display at the event, and attendees can be in with the chance to win a commission from their favourite artist in attendance - pop in to the Church Street gallery to find out more.

The event is being run in collaboration with Rutland Open Studios, an annual art trail around Rutland that celebrates the varied and vibrant work of local artists and creatives.

Find out more, including how to join the open studios initiative, here.

You will be able to find the event from 1 September at:
