The Sun Inn in Cottesmore, Oakham has announced that it will change hands in February, after the current owners have run it for the last five years.

Announcing the news on Facebook, the manager wrote: 'It is with a heavy heart that we will be leaving The Sun Inn in February 2025. It is time for new beginnings.

'We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us since we moved to the village. We've had the best time.'

The Sun Inn, which is a traditional thatched 16th century coaching house, is part of the Everards of Leicestershire group. Due to the current owners moving on, Everards says 'The Sun is available as a pub business opportunity for someone to run and we'd love to hear from any interested parties.'
