Power tool thieves in Essendine cut open van to steal contents

Thieves stole power tools worth more than £1,500 from a van in Essendine at the weekend.

The valuable equipment was taken overnight on Saturday (15 Aug) when the thieves cut the side of the van, parked in Mallard Close, to gain access to its contents.

The following tools were taken:

• Dewalt laser level (DW088K)

• Dewalt 165mm circular saw (DCS391)

• Dewalt combi drill (DCD776S2T-GB)

• Dewalt grinder (DCG412)

• Dewalt 10.8v drill driver and impact driver (DCK211D2T)

• Three Dewalt 2AH batteries

• Makita LXT tool set (DLX6067F-1)

• Van Vault (S10810-2) security storage box

A Leicestershire Police spokesman said that if anyone has seen any of these items for sale, or been offered them, to call the force on 101 quoting crime reference number 20*424283.
