This week is Random Acts of Kindness Week, and today, Friday 17 February, the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation are celebrating that fact that it is nearly the weekend with their Random Acts of Kindness Day, an annual event meant to promote kindness in schools, at work, and within the community.

The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation is an organisation whose mission is to change schools, workplaces, families, and society by encouraging kindness. This special week promotes awareness of how rewarding acts of kindness are and how they can make a difference to other's lives.

Bluebird Care Stamford & Rutland is just one of many local businesses joining the celebration of Random Acts of Kindness Week. A time to make more of an effort to show kindness in your daily life. This year's theme encourages everyone to Explore the Good and Make Kindness the Norm.

Lisa MacKenzie, Director of Bluebird Care Stamford & Rutland, said: "We are delighted to be supporting Random Acts of Kindness Week and we are encouraging our carers to complete one (or more!) random act of kindness a day.

This can be anything, from phoning an elderly relative to helping someone do their shopping. The list is endless! Even a smile can brighten someone's day.

We believe that a little bit of kindness can go a long way in supporting others and uplifting their spirits."

Visit the Random Acts of Kindness website to find out more about the campaign, ideas and stories of acts of kindness and how you can get involved.

The website is offering free kindness posters, kindness calendars and much more to encourage daily ideas of kindness. Make kindness the norm at your workplace and school!

Kindness starts with one, why don't you be that one?!
