LOROS' fully refurbished Oakham shop is returning following a full revamp.

The store is a branch of the LOROS fundraising charity shops, who raise money to provide free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their families and carers across Leicestershire and Rutland.

Oakham's LOROS closed in early April, much to the dismay of local shoppers and thrifters, who enjoyed browsing and buying vintage and designer clothing, vintage fabrics, books, sewing patters, homeware, games, books and much more in store.

However, after a closure of nearly 3 months, the store will be returning to its home on Oakham High Street following a refurbishment.

The shop is also in need of a new team of volunteers to help support the day-to-day running of the store.

A spokesperson for LOROS said: "Do you love fashion? Do you want to make a difference to your community? LOROS are looking for multiple volunteers to help with a variety of roles at the Oakham shop. Come along on the opening day to find out more about volunteering opportunities and grab yourself a bargain!"

The newly refurbished charity shop will be reopening at 10.30am on Friday 23 June and promises "an even better shopping experience with a bigger clothing range and improved space usage."
