Road works brought forward due to poor weather forecast

Work set to take place on the A47 has been brought forward due to a bad weather forecast.
Planned roadworks due to take place on 26 and 28 July on the A47 has now been moved forward to take place on Monday 24 and Monday 31 July 2023 due to bad weather forecasts.
Surface dressing of the A47 near Wardley, Rutland, will take place from 8am – 5pm on both Monday 24 and 31 July, meaning the road will be closed during these times and diversions will be put in place. To view live maps of diversions please go online.
Additional signs have been put in place and Rutland County Council (RCC) would ask all drivers to adhere to the diversion warnings.
RCC apologise for any inconvenience caused and will ensure that residents are informed of any further changes or updates via our website and social media accounts.
