Rutland ambulance crews are being invited to take part in a 'conversation' about Black and Minority Ethnic communities.

The event being organised by the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives is entitled "Our BME People & Communities – a Conversation."

The session, to be held on Tuesday July 7 from 2pm to 3.30pm is for all NHS ambulance service people "with the aim of enhancing understanding and raising awareness of BME staff and communities, particularly in the context of Covid-19 and the Black Lives Matter movement."

A post on the JCAC Rutland voluntary Civil Defence organisation Facebook page said: "We will hear from some speakers with expertise, knowledge and experience in this area and provide the opportunity for colleagues to reflect on what they have heard and share their own thoughts and views."

A link to the Zoom call will be made available on social media 24 hours before the session.

In the meantime, ambulance staff are asked to keep

an eye on Twitter @AACE_Org and at #OurBMEpeople https://aace.org.uk/our-bme-people/
