Family owned Rutland business Versatile Venues celebrates winning The National Outdoor Events Association – Event Organiser of the Year.

Versatile Venues, based at Wireless Hill, is a family owned business and part of the C.S. Ellis Group who are celebrating their 90th anniversary of trading in Rutland in 2023. Versatile Venues delivers mobile events vehicles and structures to a wide variety of businesses from exhibitions, roadshows, music festivals, hospitality, training events, brand activation and much more. From trailer units, expandable pods to high tech media infused glass structures. Versatile offers innovative design, complex construction (made simple), warm hospitality, smart logistics and event execution at any scale.

Versatile Venues attended the 2022 National Outdoor Events Association Convention and Awards at Bath Guildhall and Pump Rooms in November. The event is a well established industry standard event for outdoor events specialists to share best practice in this thriving industry. 150 Event professionals convened for the 2022 conference and events programme.

Versatile was awarded the Event Organiser of the Year Award from strong category of nine competitors. The Judges were industry leaders: Alistair Turner - Managing Director of Eight PR & Marketing, Andy McNicholl – City Events Manager of Liverpool Council and Gill Tee – Founder and Managing Director of Entertee.

Alistair Turner, Chair of the Judges and Managing Director, EIGHT PR & Marketing, commented: "The quality of entries this year was incredible and showed that, despite how tough a year this has been for everyone, this is an industry that produce the amazing, time and time again. Judging this year was so rewarding, and seeing everyone back face to face again, was another sign that this industry remains the very best in the world. The Judges stated "This was a really strong entry from Versatile, a great entry from a brilliant team that continues to deliver the goods for their events and their audiences. We're delighted to see them recognised."
