Rutland CAMRA names seasonal winner with Summer Pub of the Season

The Rutland branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has named The Exeter Arms in Uppingham as their pub of the summer.
The pub will be presented with a certificate to celebrate their award which will be presented by Rutland CAMRA on Wednesday 27th August at 6pm.
Chair of Rutland CAMRA Rich Harris said: 'We are delighted that The Exeter Arms is the very deserving winner of our Summer Pub of the Season.
'After featuring frequently on our seasonal shortlist, it's great they have been chosen by our members as our Summer Pub of the Season.
'It's an achievement for a pub to get onto our shortlist, which is made up of the three pubs with the highest average beer scores for the quarter.
'In selecting their Pub of the Season, Rutland CAMRA members take into account the pub's welcome, atmosphere, cleanliness and community focus, as well as the quality of the beer.
'Commiserations to our runners-up The Blue Bell at Belmesthorpe and the Black Bull in Market Overton and many congratulations to Caroline and the team at the Exeter Arms.'
