Rutland Clothing Bank have suffered a flood in their storage unit this New Year.

Rutland Clothing Bank was set up over two years ago by Rutlanders Helen Wolstenholme and Mandy Black and has jumped from strength to strength, earning a reputation for helping source school uniform, jackets, shoes, and much more to those in need in the local area.

Throughout 2022, team worked hard, alongside Oakham Baptist Church, to provide clothes for Ukrainian refugees and source warm winter garments for those struggling to heat their homes.

Now, they need the help of the local community.

Although they have managed to save a great deal of the clothing, the team are in need of pallets to help them store their displaced stock in lieu of the flood.

The team appealed on social media: "Please can you help, sadly not a great start to the new year, but our storage unit has had a flood. Luckily we will be able to Salvage most of our stock, but need a little assistance , if anyone can Gift us some pallets it will help massively with our clean up."

Can you help?

Contact the team via their Facebook page, where you can also find out about urgent clothing appeals and more.
