Rutland Community Fridge returns for the New Year today, Friday 6 January 2023.

The team will be in Oakham and Uppingham today, handing out food from local shops and supermarkets that would otherwise go to landfill.

All residents can attend this weekly event and are encouraged to donate as much as they are able in exchange for the goods they take. This donation will help the Rutland Community Fridge continue their hard work.

The team shared on their Facebook page: "Today the fridges are FULL! And lots of delicious food is on the tables and shelves, in baskets and in the freezer. Please come down and help up save this good food from landfill."
