Rutland Council provides update as severe flooding impacts bin collections

Services provided by Rutland County Council have been impacted by severe weather and flooding across the county. 

In the following areas there will be no black bin collections. The council ask that those affected leave their bins out for a catch-up collection tomorrow or as soon as possible, weather permitting. 

The areas affected are: 

  • Cottesmore, 
  • Whissendine, 
  • Ashwell, 
  • Burley, 
  • Empingham, 
  • Exton, 
  • Whitwell,  
  • Market Overton, 
  • Clipsham, 
  • Stretton, 
  • Teigh, 
  • Thistleton, 
  • Greetham, 
  • Aldgate, Ketton
