The Annual Council Meeting of Rutland County Council is set to take place tonight.

This will be the first annual meeting for the councillors who were elected in the Local Elections on 4 May.

On the agenda will be:

ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNCIL - The outgoing Chairman will invite nominations for office of Chairman of the Council for the 2023-24 Municipal Year.

ELECTION OF VICE-CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNCIL - The Chairman of the Council will invite nominations for the office of Vice-Chairman of the Council for 2023/24 Municipal Year.

DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST - In accordance with the Regulations, Members are invited to declare any disclosable interests under the Code of Conduct and the nature of those interests in respect of items on this Agenda and/or indicate if Section 106 of the Local Government Finance Act 1992 applies to them.

ELECTION OF LEADER OF THE COUNCIL - The Chairman of the Council will invite nominations for the office of Leader of the Council for a term of four years until the next Annual Meeting after ordinary whole Council elections.

NOTIFICATION BY THE LEADER OF APPOINTMENTS TO THE EXECUTIVE - The Council is requested to note the appointment of members of the Executive (Including the Deputy Leader) and their portfolios as announced by the Leader.

Funding, seat allocation and more will be discussed.
