Rutland County Council invites residents to give feedback on early education and childcare

A consultation launched by Rutland County Council asks parents and carers who are working, studying or seeking employment to give feedback to help the authority understand if early education and childcare is meeting their needs.
Annual Childcare Sufficiency Assessments (ASAs) help local councils to gather important information about access, availability and affordability of childcare in their area in order to build an accurate picture of the childcare market based on the experiences of local families.
The council will also be engaging with local businesses to understand how Childcare Sufficiency impacts their recruitment and retention of staff.
Rutland County Council's Portfolio Holder for Children and Families, Cllr Tim Smith said: "Rutland County Council would like your help to better understand the needs of parents, carers and businesses in providing childcare services. We would therefore be very grateful if you would take part in our latest Child Sufficiency Assessment as it will assist in improving our early education and childcare in general. Your input will be much appreciated."
