Rutland County Council has launched a brand new website today with information and online services for people living in the County.

Although the Council's web address remains the same, anyone going online over the past month would have noticed that they could preview the new and improved design, structure and layout via the link to the beta site.

Since the preview Rutland Council have reported "great feedback", and the beta site has now officially gone live.

Rutland County Council's Cabinet Member for Transformation, Cllr Karen Payne, said: "The new website is designed so that our customers have the best experience finding and using our services online. It will be a way for residents to access information more quickly and easily – particularly from smartphones. A lot of time and hard work has gone in to getting it up and running so we are excited to see it launched today."

A number of new and improved functions include:

  • Streamlined navigation
  • Online forms
  • Improved accessibility
  • Simplified content

The new website has useful information about all of the Council's core services, including, public transport, waste and recycling, health and social care, planning, Council Tax and benefits. All the Council's latest news is published on the site, along with records of public meetings, upcoming events and links to other useful sources of information. You can also sign up to the Council's weekly e-newsletter so you get the latest news sent direct to your inbox.
