Rutland County Council to discuss council tax increase at upcoming meeting

On Tuesday 13 January, a meeting of Rutland County Council's cabinet will discuss a variety of matters, including the 2026/7 budget and increasing council tax.

The cabinet, which will meet at 10.30am in the council chambers in Oakham, will discuss a 3.9% council tax increase for the 2026/7 financial year, with 2.0% going to fund Adult Social Care and 1.9% for general use.

They will also discuss the draft budget plan for 2026/7 and the financial strategy for 2026/7 to 2028/9.

Reports from the Scrutiny Committee will be heard, along with grants for the next financial year.
