As part of The One Show's One Big Thank You, a Northamptonshire woman was surprised by celebrity gardener Joe Swift at Rutland Garden Village. 

Shelagh was honoured on The One Show for a lifetime of giving back to her community, fostering and adopting children, working with local charities and organisations and selflessly dedicated her time giving back to others.

Shelagh was visiting Rutland Garden Centre, thinking she was attending a talk by celebrity gardener and journalist Joe Swift. Her friends and neighbours were all in attendance to celebrate Shelagh's hard-work and dedication to her community in Collyweston. 

Speaking on social media, the team at Rutland Garden Centre said: 'We all had a ball surprising Shelagh and there cannot be a more deserving recipient of the One Big Thank You. 

'I must admit that seeing out fabulous Garden Centre in Ashwell on the screen looking so beautiful was a proud moment indeed.'
