Rutland High Sheriff Richard Cole has presented an award to a local 'community hero,' to celebrate her tireless work in the village of Ryhall in Rutland.

Charlotte Davis was presented with the award by the High Sheriff this week where he thanked her for her hand work giving back to her community.

Charlotte is a leader of the on-going campaign to save Ryhall Library, as well as organising and running the village play group for the last five years, founding and running the warm welcome initiative in Ryhall Library since 2022, and running regular holiday clubs for local primary-aged children.

Charlotte was anonymously nominated by her fellow villagers, with one nomination thanking her for her "tireless work over many years," and describing her as a "community hero."

Congratulations to Charlotte from the team at Oakham Nub News!
