A Rutland-based venue has been recognised in the Good Hotel Guide Editor's Choice 2024 awards for Foodie Hotels.

Hambleton Hall dates back to 1881, and has been a hotel that prides itself on retaining local history and being a recognisable landmark within the local community and for tourists visiting the destination.

The hotel has 15 rooms, two suite rooms, each distinctively styled, and a lakeside setting, while the Hall's gardens and grounds cover 17 acres, surrounded by Rutland Water.

The team are also passionate about providing outstanding local dining - the Hall's restaurant has held a Michelin Star since 1982 and the Bakery is award-winning.

Now, their restaurant has also picked up an award for being a top Foodie Hotel in the Good Hotel Guide Editor's Choice 2024 awards.

The team shared the news on their social media: "We are delighted to have been chosen as one of the winners of the Good Hotel Guide Editor's Choice 2024 awards for Foodie Hotels.

"So proud of all the team at Hambleton who strive to produce sublime flavours and elegant dishes on every plate, at every service, every day of the year.

"Equally proud of the rest of the brigade. To every member of staff who contributes to the guest experience, thank you."
