Rutland man's golf fundraiser for NHS

By The Editor 11th Feb 2021

A Rutland man Mark Owen has decided to organise a charity golf day in aid of the NHS.

Mark says 'after a crappy year' the event will not only raise some money, but also to give people "something to look forward to."

He said on social media: "The day will be hosted at Belton Park Golf Club on Friday 30th July 2021, which, as those that have played there will know, is a stunning course.

"We are having a Shotgun tee-off starting at 9am. There will be a breakfast bap and hot drink upon arrival, goodie bag., 18 holes of golf and a BBQ to finish.

"We will be offering some great prizes for the winners and opportunities to win great prizes on the Par 3's. We are hoping to have a car up for grabs...!

"We are asking for £75 per player. If you are interested in entering, please contact me directly or email [email protected] for payment details.

All entries will be fully refunded if Covid 19 cancels the day.

Mark continued: "We are now on the look out for a main sponsor for the day. The day will be promoted in all the local papers/radio etc. so if you know a business that would like to get involved please let me know.

"We are also looking for donations to help towards the auction and raffle, so again, if you know anyone, please let me know."
