Taking place in Rutland since the early 20th century, Morris Dancing has always been a key part of Oakham and Rutland's heritage and community. In the 1920s and 30s, Morris was a regular activity in schools and this legacy has continued until today. Rutland Morris Men was formally founded in 1974 and became Rutland Morris in 2024 to welcome both men and women to join in.

Rehearsals and dances regularly take place most Monday evenings, with their popular 'have a go at Morris Dancing' workshop in January attracting new dancers interested in giving Morris a try.
