A Rutland Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) has walked her last beat.

PCSO Diana Freeman has served her last day on the local force after two decades of commitment within the local community.

The Rutland policing team shared a heart-felt goodbye: "PSCO Di Freeman is saying goodbye to the force after over 20 year policing the rural community in Rutland. She will be greatly missed by colleagues and the wider community in Rutland for her wide knowledge of rural affairs. She received farewell gifts and a commendation from the area commander, Inspector Darren Richardson. We wishes her well as one journey ends and new one begins."

PCSO Freeman thanked the team for her gifts as she moves on to the next step in her journey.

Ms Freeman said: "I have marked my last shift as PCSO Diana Freeman 6516 after over 20 years. I am very overwhelmed by the kind comments and best wishes from my colleagues and members of the Rural Community thank you for all your help and support over the years."

Congratulations and best wished to Diana Freeman.
