Rutland Police have found drugs on a teenager in an Oakham wood.

Police posted on social media that they were called to a wooded area by Huntsman Drive, Oakham, yesterday, after a complaint of anti-social behaviour.

Their post continued: "Stop searched an 18 year old and found this [see top picture]. Don't think he'd been foraging in the woods for this plant material."

Rutland Police added: "Once again excellent support by our patrol officers. Members of the public have provided us with information and we've acted as a team to their concerns."

Earlier today, Rutland Police said they were out patrolling as part of Operation Galileo, which aims to combat hare coursing, when a vehicle failed to stop at Market Overton.

The care was located but the driver had no driving documents so the vehcile was seized.

"Another one off the road," their tweet added.
