Rutland Police have fined six people for attending a house party yesterday.

The breach follows the imposition of a third national lockdown which forbids the mixing of households.

Rutland Police said on social media last night: "In the middle of a pandemic and some people in Stretton still think it's okay to have a party.

"Six COVID tickets issued & hopefully they'll get the message."

Earlier in the week, Rutland Police posted a link to the full national guidance.

They also commented: "These are the new rules for the lockdown as announced. I know that #Rutland residents will do their bit to ensure we stay safe.

"There are challenges ahead but I know as community we will face this challenge as one and come out the other side."

The guidance can be found here.
