Rutland pub and former 17th century courthouse set to reopen tomorrow
A Rutland pub is reopening tomorrow, Thursday 6 July.
The White Horse in Empingham has been shut for months following the vacation of the previous tenants, who were running the venue as a hybrid Italian restaurant and pub.
The team from The Noel @ Whitwell will be reopening the doors of the venue at noon tomorrow to welcome diners back to the former 17th century courthouse.
The crew, made up of father and son Ian and Sam White, have been running The Noel @ Whitwell since November, which only 1.5 miles up the road from the village location of their new venture.
The father and son duo are not only taking their family ethos to The White Horse, but they are also bringing their varied and ever-changing menu, passion for their work and wonderful service along for the ride.
Ian and Sam have worked across the region in pubs and kitchens, and have dragged The Noel up by its boot straps, offering a host of new meal deals, from steak night, to Sunday roasts, to a senior citizens lunch every Tuesday.
They now hope to do the same to Empingham's The White Horse.
The pair are working in partnership with White Hospitality Group, a Hospitality Management company offering full and part management and consultancy services to hotels, restaurants and pubs across the uk and beyond.
Ian is the Director, with over 40 years' experience in the industry, while Sam at 22 is the Head Chef, having trained at the College of East Anglia in 2016.
They were expecting to reopen the venue later this month, but hard work and enthusiasm from the local community has meant that the team can open the doors of The White Horse sooner than expected.
They will be welcoming guests from noon tomorrow.
