A Rutland pub has announced they have closed their doors for the final time, thanking regulars for seven years of support.
The Plough in Greetham, which won Rutland CAMRA's Pub of Season in February this year, has announced they have served their last pint and shut their doors.
Taking to Facebook, owners Pete and Hayley said: 'This is the hardest post we've ever had to do!
'It is with great sadness that last night we closed the doors of the Plough for the last time.
'A decision not taken lightly, last winter was exceptionally tough and we were hoping for a good summer, unfortunately it wasn't meant to be.'
The pair thank their 'amazing team who have helped make some amazing times' and also 'everyone who has supported us during the last seven plus years.'
'For now,' the post continues, 'we ask for space to dust ourselves off and support the guys wherever we can through this horrible horrible time.'
They end by saying 'Hospitality is a tough old game at present, please continue to support your local pubs - they need you.'
