Rutland and Leicestershire residents are being supported when it comes to recognising and reporting anti-social behaviour in their towns and villages.

Antisocial behaviour takes many forms, from aggressive, noisy or abusive behaviour to neighbourhood disturbances involving drugs or animals.

If you see any of these things taking place in your neighbourhood, you are encouraged to report it online.

Your neighbourhood can be an area where you live, work, or visit often.

The local policing team said: "If you’ve witnessed antisocial behaviour, please report it to us."

Residents have also been reminded to 'Click Before You Call' in a new scheme aimed at freeing up 999 phone lines to prioritise emergency incidents.

To report non-emergency incidents and anti-social behaviour online, residents can visit the online portal which can be found by visiting the Leicestershire Police website and clicking 'Report' near the top of the page.

Here, residents can also find a huge range of crime prevention advice, including personal, business home and vehicle security, and a wealth of information and advice on different elements of the law, from antisocial behaviour to wildlife crime.

Residents are reminded to always call 999 in an emergency, and to report non-emergency crimes online rather than on the police X (Twitter) and Facebook pages, as these are not monitored 24/7.
