Rutland Ride and Stride 2025 opens registration to discover local heritage and support local causes

Rutland Ride and Stride is back for 2025 with the return of this heritage-based fundraiser encouraging local people to get moving to support Rutland's Historic Churches.
Taking place on 13th September, Rutland Ride and Stride challenges participants to visit as many churches in the county in one day in a mode of transport that is not driving.
Although most participants chose to walk or cycle, imaginative and quirky modes of transport are also welcome, from horse-back riding, unicycling or roller-skating, the more the merrier.
This event raises funds for the Rutland Historic Churches Preservation Trust (RHCPT), who work hard to maintain and restore Rutland's historic churches and chapels. The funds raised by this challenge will go directly to this cause, with half of each participants money raised going to their nominated church and the rest going to the RHCPT to help preserve Rutland's rich history and heritage.
The challenge is designed to be accessible for families, children, friends and single participants to take part, with participants setting their own route, pace and distance, allowing the challenge to be adjusted to the abilities of those taking part.
Registration for the 2025 Rutland Ride and Stride is now open on the Rutland Historic Churches Preservation Trust website.
