On Saturday the 25th of June 2022, Rutland Water Beach at Sykes Lane opened for the swimmers and water sports enthusiasts to enjoy the reservoir over the summer months.

The Beach is located on the north shore of Rutland Water and provides 140 metres of shoreline and 2,800 square metres of water to paddle and swim in.

While the beach is free to visit, parking for the whole day is £10.

Anglian Water have asked guests to:

  • raise all BBQ's off the grass - there are designated stands for flat BBQ's
  • swim only in designated life guarded area
  • keep a close eye on your children as it's easy for them to become separated in a crowd

Last entry is at 5pm and all visitors must have left by 8pm when the site is locked.

Access to the water closes at 6pm.

Similarly, the Rutland Aqua Park is open and will be until mid September.

Tickets cost between £20 and £69, and wetsuit hire is £7.50. Wetsuits are compulsory until the 5th of July due to water temperature.

The Aqua Park can be found at Whitwell, also on the north shore of Rutland Water.

Find out more here.

Visitors to the Aqua Park are encouraged to book in advance
