Last night, Wednesday the 18th of May 2022, Sally-Anne Wadsworth was elected as Oakham's new Mayor.

Cllr Sally-Anne Wadsworth has sat on Oakham Town Council since 2016 and was heavily involved in the organising of the living music in Cutts Close in 2021.

Sally-Anne was Deputy Mayor in 2019/20 and was predicted to take the role on in 2021/22, before Zoë Nealson was put forward as an unexpected candidate by Cllr David Romney, who was Mayor at the time.

Sally-Anne also sits on the Recreation and Planning Committee, Staffing Committee and Events Working Group and is the owner of Kids and More school Uniform shop in Crown Walk.

Congratulations to Zoë Nealson as she steps down after a busy year, and best of luck to Sally-Anne Wadsworth as she takes on her new role.

Congratulations Sally-Anne.
