On Sunday 23 November, Oakham will be getting in the festive spirit with stalls, rides and Christmas cheer with the annual Christmas Light switch on. 

Taking place from noon until 5pm, Oakham town centre will be full of festive fun, ideal for the family with a special visit from Santa and Filbert the Fox. 

Some of the beautiful local businesses will remain open for the perfect opportunity to start some Christmas shopping, as well as browsing a selection of stalls. 

There will also be the opportunity to enjoy some of the local businesses' festive windows, as part of Oakham Town Council's best dressed window competition.  

The winner will be announced and trophy awarded to the best window at the Christmas Light switch on.
