Oakham Town Council is hosting 'Spring into Oakham,' a fantastic day celebrating all things Rutland with stalls from local businesses, live music, walking tours and activities for children.

On Saturday 15th March, the High Street and Mill Street will be transformed into a pedestrian-friendly spring haven. Accompanied by the Farmers Market on Gaol Street, the streets will be lined with stalls offering the best of local produce, crafts and artisanal goods.

There will also be activities to keep the little ones happy, including a free treasure hunt exploring the town, as well as a range of activities at the Rutland County Museum.

For music lovers, there will be live music performed at Oakham Castle.

There will also be free guided tours by Oakham Castle exploring the rich history of Mill Street and Crown Walk.

Take a stroll through the town to check out local retailers beautifully decorated spring windows, all of which will be judged by Rutland's Lord Lieutenant and the Mayor of Oakham.

If we are lucky to have dry weather, retailers will be able to bring their shops outside, creating a bustling marketplace atmosphere, showcasing the true charm and wonder of Oakham in Spring.
