Send Us Your News And Events

By The Editor

26th Nov 2021 | Local News

It's just a few weeks since Nub News launched our five hyper-local websites in Oakham, Stamford, Bourne, The Deepings and Grantham.

In that short time, we've generated more than 34,000 page views and been the first credible news source to publish several major local news stories - including the stabbing in Oakham on Friday.

We've even received unsolicited encouragement from the Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland.

It's been a fantastic start...but with your involvement it can be even better.

Nub News is unique in that it lets YOU self-publish using the Nub It buttons found on the home page for news and What's On page for events listings.

Nub News is the perfect platform for your organisation, charity, business, church, school, sport's team - anyone in fact - to share your fantastic achievements with the community.

We LIKE good news stories. While it is important for us to publish all types of news (even bad, at times), we can already see that good, local, community interest stories are hugely popular - especially sports results and match reports.

Now, we understand that self-publishing might be a difficult thing to get your head around. After all, we're guessing that not many of you currently fire off many stories to your local newspapers…

But the concept of community-driven editorial is gaining momentum around the world.

We already have many contributors (like Oakham United FC and Burghley House) who have embraced the idea of self-publishing with enthusiasm - providing interesting and well-read content.

So, visit your hyper-local https://Oakham.Nub.News website, have a look around and maybe you - or an organisation you are associated with - will have something to contribute. It's quick, easy and, of course, free.

If you want any advice or guidance about self-publishing or want to talk to me about a news story then don't hesitate to e-mail [email protected] or call 07803 723233.

In the meantime, you can follow us on Twitter to always see what we're up to: @OakhamNubNews or look for OakhamNubNews on Facebook.
