Seven Conservative councillors gang together to remove Rutland County Council Leader

Rutland County Council have announced they will be holding a special meeting on Tuesday 5th August.
The meeting has been called after seven councillors have put forward to motion 'to resolve to remove the Leader from officer.'
According to the statement published by Rutland County Council, 'if a council passes a resolution to remove the Executive Leader, a new Executive Leader is to be elected at either: the meeting at which the Leader is removed from office, or a subsequent meeting.'
Seven councillors that have signed the motion calling for council leader Gale Waller (Lib Dem), including Councillors Lucy Stephenson, Karen Payne, Matthew Farina, Heckels, David Wilby, Giles Clifton and Andrew Dinsmore.
All seven of the councillors that signed the motion are Conservatives, including Cllr Dinsmore, who was elected in the Barleythorpe by-election just four days ago (25th July).
