Nub News is looking for a part time journalist to come on board to continue its coverage in Rutland.

Salary is unspecified.

You will:

  • Help grow the strong readership for the Oakham Nub News site
  • Write your own stories and build their own audiences
  • Source, write and edit stories
  • Write features including breaking news, crime, community events, education, council issues and sport
  • Write catchy headlines and create informative captions

Cleaner

Brooke Priory is Rutland's Independent Co-educational Preparatory School for children from 2 to 11 years. It is a forward thinking school based on traditional and family values, and the team are looking to appoint a School Cleaner to join the premises team.

Salary will be £6,315 per annum.

You will:

  • Clean an area of school at the end of each school day
  • Deep clean the area 3 times per year during school holidays
  • Work 2½ hours per day Monday to Friday during term time (34 weeks)
  • Work 6 weeks deep clean in school holidays at times to suit with agreement of the Headmaster

Counter Assistant

Rutland Late Night Pharmacy have a vacancy for a Counter Assistant in their newly expanded pharmacy in Oakham town centre. This is a part time role that will include shift times around peak business times as well as filling in holiday absences. 

Salary is minimum wage.

You will:

  • Be adaptable to a variety of shop assistant administrative jobs as no day will be the same
  • Work 20+ hours per week, with weekdays varying Monday – Sunday
  • Work shifts between the hours of 0800 and 2100 - must be able for weekends as well
  • Have good communication and IT skills
  • Have experience or be willing to train

Rutland County Council are looking for an experienced Care Manager/Social Worker to work in the Adult Social Care teams who are leading the way in health and social care integration. This is a great opportunity to join a nationally recognised and committed team, supporting service users and their carers every step of the way. 

Salary will be £29,777 - £40,221 per annum, Career Graded.

You will:

  • Social Work England Registered
  • Previous experience in an Adult services setting
  • Understanding of Community Care legislation and multi- disciplinary working
  • Able to complete social care assessments
  • Manage a caseload
  • Facilitate efficient assessment of Rutland adult residents
  • Ensure safe, timely and effective hospital discharges through the completion and coordination of assessments
  • Commission services and support in response to assessed need
