The team at Rutland Farm Park have welcomed a brand new addition, and have popped the cork after deciding to name her Champagne!

Last week, the team at the popular family attraction located on Uppingham Road, Oakham, welcomed a new addition to their collection of rare breed and rescued animals.

One of the cows born on the farm, Hollie, gave birth to her first calf, a happy and healthy little girl who, the team have said "acts like a dog and already enjoys lots of fuss."

She joins the collection of cows, horses, sheep, alpaca, goats, llama, chickens, geese and other animals on the farm - as well as the friendly troop of volunteers and owners, Clive and Julie, and their daughter Farmer Amy.

Propud mum, Hollie, is doing well and the team are delighted to introduce Champagne. Image credit: Rutland Farm Park.

However, the ever-growing collection of animals looks set to get even bigger, as the team are on the hunt for another young calf to join Champagne.

Do you know of anyone looking to re home a young calf who could join Champagne as a playmate?

You can get in touch with the team at Rutland Farm Park by emailing [email protected] or calling 01572 722122.

Or, to swing by and meet Hollie and Champagne, visit the farm from Tuesday to Sunday, 10am - 4pm, at:

Keep your eyes peeled as, once Champagne has a playmate, the team at Rutland Farm Park will be looking to you to help give their new addition a name...
