Spring is coming to Oakham this weekend with Oakham Town Council's Spring Day.

Taking place on Saturday 15th March, the High Street and Mill Street in Oakham will be transformed into a pedestrian-friendly haven with the streets lined with exciting stalls from brilliant local vendors. There will be a farmers market taking place on Goal Street, free walking tours at Oakham Castle, live music and a free treasure hunt around the town.

There will be a mini train running 100m along Mill Street for children, as well as face painting. In Rutland County Museum, there will be a range of activities to keep the little ones entertained.

Just some of the stalls attending include: Farmer Lou, Handcrafted Glass, Ovation Wine with their van, Tropic Skincare, Mint and Dove Clothing and lots of local crafters. Students from Harington School are doing a road refresh.

Local shops will also be taking part in a competition to make the most creative spring-themed window displayed. They will be judged at 2pm by a panel consisting of Rutland's Lord Lieutenant, Dr Sarah Furness, and Mayor of Oakham, Paul Ainsley.

Come along on Saturday 15th March to enjoy this bustling marketplace atmosphere packed with fun activities, stalls with local crafts and plenty of activities for adults and little ones.
