Stamford Stitchers are set to host a free exhibition this May and June.

The local craft group, who are passionate about all things embroidery, will be hosting a free, month-long exhibition, kicking off in May.

The group have a shared interest in a variety of embroidery and textile crafts and techniques, including embroidery, cross-stitch, felting, needlework, quilting and more.

They meet on a regular basis and share their projects and ideas on the Stamford Stitchers Facebook page.

Those involved in the group range from novice needleworkers to experienced embroiderers.

From 20 May until 14 June, they will be hosting a free exhibition displaying their work and selling a number of handmade, one-off pieces at Rutland County Museum, Oakham, LE15 6HW.

Learn about, browse and buy embroidery, textiles and mixed media - if you thought you knew stitching, think again!
