Rutland Water will be closed tomorrow (Sun) following official weather warnings.

The water park broke the news on its Facebook page saying: "Following Met Office information & an upgraded Amber warning we have taken the decision to enforce a full site closure on Sunday 9th February.

"If you were planning to visit on Sunday please be aware, make alternative arrangements & stay safe.

"Keep an eye on updates on our social media channels for further details."

The Rutland Water Nature Reserve has posted a similar message saying the Nature Reserve and Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre will be closed.

"Please do not attempt to visit the reserves or hides tomorrow, Sunday the 9th February.

"We hope to be back open again on Monday.

"The safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff is paramount in this decision which we hope will not cause any inconvenience," it adds.
