The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings across Rutland, warning of winds up to 50 mph

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for high winds across Rutland and the Midlands, as Storm Eowyn is set to arrive in the early hours of the morning on Friday 24th January. 

From 3am, a strong wind gusting to approximately 50mph will hit Rutland, expected to batter the countryside and impact travel in some areas. Through Thursday night and into the early hours of Friday, heavy rain is expected to accompany the high winds with winds reaching gale force Friday morning.

The Met Office warn that road, rail and air travel could all be affected, advising those who travel to check the weather reports and news regularly and plan for delays.
