The Royal Duke will be opening on Oakham High Street under a new banner this April 2023.

On Saturday 29 April 2023, the Royal Duke will be reopening at 51 - 53 High Street in Oakham, having relocated from its home of 4 years at The Duke on 8 West Road.

While the pub will remain trading as a bar, the attached Indian restaurant will reopen as Jashir at their new Oakham High Street location, the former home of Wildwoods and, for less than 1 year, Dovetail.

Nilesh Patel, Owner of Jashir, said: "We will be opening the doors to our new premises on Saturday 29th April. Thank you to all our customers for your support over the past 4 years, we hope to see you at Jashir."

The team will be trading at The Royal Duke until 16 April and, after having a few days off to complete the move, will be ready to begin taking orders under their new name.

The venue will be reopening at the end of the month. Image credit: The Royal Duke, Oakham.
