On the approach to Christmas, Santa has been visiting a number of streets in and around Oakham and Rutland with the help of the Rutland Lions.

The Lions Club of Rutland focus on community-led causes and organise a host of local events each year, most notably their annual Firework Display in November, followed by December's Santa trail.

This year, Santa has once again been visiting villages across Rutland, delighting Rutland's young residents with a 'ho, ho, ho' and a wobble of his belly 'like a bowl full of jelly':

Residents of Uppingham have already welcomed him to The Beeches, Gainsborough Road, Branston Road, Lime Tree Avenue and the surrounding areas.

He has also already dropped in on some Oakham roads, including Foxfield Way, where residents big and small paid the man himself a visit.

Visits continue tonight, 19 December, and conclude on Christmas Eve. Read on to find out more about his upcoming visits.
