Thieves damage Oakham car park pay and display machine

Thieves have stolen a battery from a pay and display machine in Oakham's Westgate Car Park.

A Leicestershire Police spokesman said: "Officers are making further enquiries after a pay and display machine in Westgate Car Park, St Anne's Close, Oakham, was broken into.

"The incident is believed to have taken place between 10am on Sunday, 2 February and 8.10am on Monday, 3 February.

"Damage was caused to the machine and the battery was stolen.

"If anyone has any information about the incident they are asked to contact 101, quoting crime number 20*68348."
