This year’s For Rutland Grand Bottle Tombola raised over £8k at The Rutland Show for Citizens’ Advice

The 2025 Grand Bottle Tombola took place on Sunday 1st June at the 191st Rutland Show. The Grand Bottle Tombola raised over £8,100 for For Rutland, with funds helping to pay for two specialist advisors that will offer support to Rutland residents living with the consequences of long-term health conditions.
Over 1350 bottles were donated ahead of the tombola by Rutland residents, volunteers and friends of the fundraising group. The whole team, from helping on the stall to teams collecting bottles from drop of points, this fundraiser was a success from start to finish.

With tickets costing just £1, the support for the tombola was phenomenal.
For Rutland chair Jeanette Warner said: "Huge thanks go to all the wonderful people who supported us with donations or who arranged for bottles to be collected and delivered. We couldn't have raised such a fantastic amount without so many individuals from so many villages taking the time to help out. A big thank you as well to all of the lovely people who came to the tombola marquee and bought tickets.
"It's a real community effort and our thanks also go to the many drop-off points which I'd like to mention: Barrowden & Wakerley Shop, Cottesmore Post Office and Shop, Edith Weston Village Store, Ketton Post Office and Shop, Market Overton Store, Barbara's Store in Empingham, The Fox at North Luffenham and Pick's Barn in Lyndon. Particular thanks go to John Porter Dry Cleaners in Oakham and Nelsons Butchers in Uppingham."
