The Rotary Club of Uppingham are collecting presents for children who might otherwise not receive any this Christmas, and time is running out to donate.

The Rotary Club of Uppingham is part of a global network of 1.4 million neighbours, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who "see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves."

Together they work to promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, save mothers and children, support education, grow local economies, and protect the environment.

They also rally at Christmas to raise funds and provide gifts for local children who may not get gifts at Christmas without their support.

Throughout December they have been collecting gifts from generous donors across Rutland, and now time is running out to get your gift to the volunteers in time for Christmas.

You can donate a gift for a child until 17 December 2022 at The Falcon Hotel, Uppingham, LE15 9PY. Just drop your gift, suitable for babies to teens, at the hotel reception to ensure that a child in Rutland or Leicestershire has a gift to open this Christmas.

The Rotary Club of Uppingham meet at The Falcon in Uppingham on Monday evenings at 7:15pm.
