Travellers arrive in Oakham car park

Travellers have moved into an Oakham supermarket car park.
Social media is reporting that several caravans and cars are now parked up in the Tesco car park.
A spokesman for Leicestershire and Rutland Police confirmed to Nub News: "Yesterday afternoon (Sunday 29 November) we received reports that members of the travelling community had arrived at a site in South Street, Oakham.
"The land is privately owned.
"Officers from the Melton and Rutland Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA) are in contact with the landowner."
Comment has also being sought from Rutland County Council.
