A Rutland village hall is embarking on an exciting new venture in association with National Theatre Live (NT Live).

Each year, the New Year brings a host of resolutions and promises - but one local initiative is far more exciting than a half-hearted pledge to eat more lettuce or start running!

Wymondham Village Hall is teaming up with National Theatre Live, a national organisation who screen live Nationally Theatre productions in cinemas across the country.

The aim of National Theatre Live is to get the best in British theatre to those who cannot access theatres, or simply want to enjoy arts begin produced in the UK.

The team will be screening the best of British theatre at the community cinema, starting with Skylight, from Robert Fox Limited and Scott Rudin.

Back on the big screen after nearly 10 years, Bill Nighy (Living) and Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman) feature in the award-winning play of love, passion and ideology - and now, Rutland residents can enjoy the production at Wymondham Village Hall cinema.

This is a fantastic opportunity for local people to access sold-out productions, captured live in the National Theatre and other West End venues at a fraction of the cost.

The upcoming show is Skylight and will take place on 18 January at 7:30pm 2024.
